There isn't really an equivalent of the sasquatch in Dorset. There's various big cat legends but somehow I can't really see them getting that close to a horse/plaiting! There is a major problem with horses and other farm animals/equipment getting stolen to order {but it depends if you have enough sense to acknowledge the difference between gypsies/romanies and new age travellers. With all of these groups it tends to be a small minority that cause the problems but some people would disagree with that one!! As far as fairies go...it's a county of many woods and hill forts so who knows?? Trust me, as a Dorset resident..that's pretty tame by Dorset standards!!
